@DJSnM Or FADEC glitched and electronically indicated a fuel shutoff condition briefly, without the physical fuel cutoff selectors ever moving from the RUN position. Or, someone purposely turned the selectors off then on. You don't accidentally cycle both switches that fast.
English

"the Engine 1 and Engine 2 fuel cutoff switches transitioned from RUN to CUTOFF position one after another with a time gap of 01 sec. The Engine N1 and N2 began to decrease"
"The EGT was observed to be rising for both engines indicating relight. Engine 1’s core deceleration stopped, reversed and started to progress to recovery. "

English

@DJSnM If the engines became vaporlocked with the fuel turning to gas and failing to be pumped as a liquid, could switching off attempt to re-start liquid flow?

@DJSnM @pilotedgeATC Best online tool for IFR proficiency is @pilotedgeATC . Tye controllers are the best you will find online.

Just got busted for accidentally flying into LAX's Class B airspace.... but it's OK because I was flying in @pilotedgeATC.
I've paused my Instrument training because despite the flying being easy, the talking with ATC stresses me out immensely, I've been trying to get regular time interacting to see if I can get over this problem, but it's intimidating to even log on and make those first calls.

At least three individuals should have known what was about to happen: 1) the air traffic controller, 2) the helicopter pilot-in-command, and 3) the co-pilot of the airliner. All three of them failed to do their jobs. Those flights were being conducted under VFR, visual flight rules, in a highly congested and compressed airspace where VISUAL flight rules actually take precedent over instrument flight rules.
This was either intentional, or it was incompetence on the part of those 3 persons involved. Any one of those I identified would have been able to avoid this disaster, if they were competent. Someone was not competent
Having flown high performance prop and jet airplanes for more than 45 years, I can say without question that this was incompetence. Or a suicide.

A new, more clearer video of the collision between a helicopter and a passenger plane in Washington, D.C, has been released.

@SashaZarustin @gmphap1 @BlindMeemo @JewishWarrior13 @visegrad24 Not a training flight. It was a annual proficiency check ride. That UH60 unit moves VIP's around the DC area. There was nothing abnormal about that flight except for the UH60 being higher than the published top altitude for that route & not maintaining visual separation.
English

@gmphap1 @BlindMeemo @JewishWarrior13 @visegrad24 Possibly a stupid question, but why train in the critical path of a very congested airport?
English

@BlindMeemo @JewishWarrior13 @visegrad24 Only the helo was VFR, the CRJ was still on an IFR flight plan. And VFR traffic in controlled airspace does not have priority.
English

@BlindMeemo @JewishWarrior13 @visegrad24 For being a pilot flying high performance turbine aircraft for 45 years, I’m shocked at how wrong two of your statements are. If you are still flying please stop.

@medicinexthings I get the feeling that the team is a bit split. No offense to Remco, but the Quickstep energy changed as soon as focus moved to GC.

@RonFilipkowski Why would anyone respect the law in the United States after seeing trump time after time avoid being held accountable? It honestly does not matter what the consequences are, this Mofo needs to be held accountable.

A testy exchange just now in court as Judge Merchan heard Trump loudly making comments towards a prospective juror and warns him that he will not tolerate his attempts to intimidate a juror. Story updated with all the latest …meidastouch.com/news/trump-tri…
