BREAKING. The Senate just passed funding for most of DHS for the rest of the fiscal year. The bill funds all but ICE and *Border Patrol* This was by unanimous voice vote. It now goes to the House, which is still in town and can vote later today. The bill contains no reforms. It comes after POTUS pledged to fund TSA, removing a key pressure point.

@Tactusgramen3 @LisaDNews Parliamentarians is an advisory group - have no authority to do anything with ICE CBP funding except….. complain I guess! Last reconciliation they identifed non budget policy issues, I think 4/5 the GOP removed. Budget for ICE CBP received massive increase.

@Buzzard1996 @LisaDNews Don't get too excited...The Parliamentarian may cut the funding for CBP & ICE. During the last reconciliation, the parliamentarian stripped out a significant amount. It's BEYOND FRUSTRATING.

@repdeliaramirez Incorrect - there was no emergency and democrats and Boasberg would have stopped him, as always. The emergency is tsa short staff that took weeks to materialize, long lines at airports due to 1st point and congress leaving for 2 weeks and not able to react to an immediate issue.

Let the record show: Trump could've signed the executive order to pay TSA day 1.   TSA and federal workers did not have to miss a single paycheck.

Dems don’t care about the pain, Dem voters accept this and care not either. Don’t blame a GOP work around solution to Dem shutdown

@RonFilipkowski Not true. Using emergency act requires an emergency not an anticipated emergency. Having tsa manpower shortages, long lines, delayed flights and ICE being used allowed emergency act to be used. If he did not wait DEMOCRATS would have went to court and Boasberg would have denied

If Trump can pay TSA agents now, then he could’ve paid them a month ago too. Nothing has changed between then and now other than his decision to do it.

@hewsona24 @LisaDNews Yes 8% of CBP not getting paid but is retroactive. That’s where reconciliation comes in. Dems can’t stop it as it only needs a majority vote and once this is passed in house - reconciliation will be fast tracked - so WIN

Flynn pled guilty to lying to the FBI. Twice. Now, Trump cronies at DOJ pay him $1.25 million of your taxpayer money to reward him for his corrupt loyalty. The federal government … as racketeering organization.

Democrats, Republicans, Independents, unaffiliated voters or third parties deserve to have a President that respects us. This childlike behavior is deeply troubling and unacceptable.
