During a Q&A session, a participant asked why characters are often killed off in series these days. Doreen Mirembe explained that, just like in real life, people die, so it can make sense for stories to reflect that reality. She also noted that sometimes it becomes a logistical issue that can affect the direction of a project. Nathan Magoola added that every character serves a purpose in a story, and once that purpose is fulfilled, the character can be written out. All the jurors also agreed that, in some cases, actors who are difficult to work with may end up being written off a show. #RFC2026 #RegionalFilmCompetitions
