Michael Madigan’s pension has been suspended following his conviction on federal corruption charges. The suspension comes days after Madigan, 82, was convicted on 10 felony counts of bribery, conspiracy and wire fraud in his landmark corruption trial. to.wttw.com/42VwhQ3

“This is a historic conviction which ranks high in the annals of criminal cases tried in this court,” acting U.S. Attorney Morris Pasqual said of the Madigan conviction.

Madigan and his defense team just exited the courthouse without comment.

The jury did not reach any verdicts for Madigan's co-defendant Michael McClain.
