Breaking: I'm (almost) employed again. Next month, I'll be joining the Louisville Courier-Journal to cover the Louisville Metro Police Department and other criminal justice-related issues. It’s a critical time in Louisville. City leaders have pledged reforms despite the DOJ’s decision not to pursue a consent decree following its investigation into the department after the killing of Breonna Taylor. I’m excited to join a strong newsroom and live in the Ohio River Valley again. Bourbon tastings and frequent trips to Red River Gorge are definitely in the plans.
