A late 18th century Georgian oak lowboy with solid brass handles. Ideal as a desk, dressing table, occasional table, whatever table. A nice small size, perfect for today’s smaller homes and apartments. Not at all ‘fine furniture’, but utterly charming, sturdy, and very much of its time - yes timeless too. Antique furniture is STILL toooo much of a bargain. This was mine for £52.48 via auction today, including buyer’s premium. What does that buy you on the High Street or retail park today? Will that last over over two centuries and go on to last another two - at least - like this one has and will?! I love the rich colour and patina too!! The use and love of generations across the ages.
