@ByzantiumFan@YahBoobays@Danthon84639657@Civixplorer If you have to ignore modern demographic studies, cite century-old empires, and use the actions of condemned terrorists to desperately prove your point, you have already lost the debate. Thriving families and voluntary conversions are the reality of the modern global community.
@ByzantiumFan@YahBoobays@Danthon84639657@Civixplorer 1. Pew data covers modern conversions, not 700 years ago.
2. Look at Bosnia in the 1990s. Indigenous European Muslims faced systemic ethnic cleansing from their neighbors. They weren't oppressing anyone; they were surviving. And yet, their faith and community survived too.
@divIntgraL@YahBoobays@Danthon84639657@Civixplorer 1. I was talking about conversions happening right now, not ~700 years ago
2. and even in most Islamic Asia-Pacific countries they still oppress and harass religious minorities, theres just no written law about it
@ByzantiumFan@YahBoobays@Danthon84639657@Civixplorer Higher birth rates just show a thriving community building healthy families. But "nobody joins"? Not according to Pew Research demographic studies. Millions convert by choice, and 62% of the global Muslim population lives in the Asia-Pacific, not under oppressive regimes.
@Irelandsfight Correct. Start with the Celts, the Vikings, the Normans, the Brits, French and Spanish, and those Hugenot bastards as well as forced Christianity imposed by the Romans via the Brits.
@divIntgraL@YahBoobays@Danthon84639657@Civixplorer Almost nobody actually "joins" Islam, the entire reason Islam is growing so fast is because Muslims have more kids than most other religions, and in a lot of Islamic countries people are forced to identify as Muslim so they don't get beheaded
@YahBoobays@Danthon84639657@Civixplorer Yet the religion still remains and is increasing in number, so do some research by yourself, why do so many people join it?
