BREAKING: Resident doctors suspend strike, warn of fresh action if demands not met by April 21 The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has suspended its indefinite nationwide strike. Doctors going on strike doesn't really sit well with me; Even if their reasons are justifiable, what happens to patients or incoming victims? Especially in a country where we are so short-staffed and with so many quacks all over the place. Where do patients go while the strike in ongoing? It's also more upsetting knowing full well that many doctors have their own private hospitals, clinics, and establishment that keeps running while the strike is ongoing. The govt is without a doubt an epic failure on all counts, but medical practitioners need to find a better solution than going on strikes. People's survival depend on their services, and private is unaffordable at this point.

There is a problem here... most of you ain't doctors and have never handled cases that require immediate intervention. 1. Consent is collected before a procedure (not within a procedure) 2. When a death occurs in your hands, most times relatives will say "neglect" and tarnish your reputation (you can save 1000 lives and the only 1 life that slips away kills your reputation forever) Sometimes Doctors have to choose between Ethics and saving lives. Both have consequences and lawsuits and that's why in medical school they teach about "Ethical Dilemmas" He may have gone overboard but maybe to save a life, factoring in frustration, anger he did bad but he is human too, If thats his usual behavior revoke license and punish heavily. If it's the first time, let it slide.
