You rarely get athletes who are truthful - they all cape up for their guys in their era. Isiah Thomas is a truth teller.

Tracy McGrady on the 65-game rule: “I’m just going to say this, if we’re in a 82 game season, there’s no player that should win an award playing 40 games, 50 games, 60 games. No way. Because if that player played 60 games and the player he’s up against played 75 games, I don’t care how great the player was for 60 games. I’m saying as far as numbers concerned, if that player that plays 60 games versus a 75 game, that’s a big difference, man.” (Via @VinceAndTmac)

Since 2021 isn’t a clear picture of how bad they’ve actually been drafting. Do the same inputs but since 2014 if you want to see gross drafting. Khris, GA, and Jrue were gods to have won next to PatC and Bobby Portis But you don’t need a graph you just need to read the names

Adam Silver on the NBA’s 65-game rule: "I generally think it’s worked... There’s not nearly as much discussion around load management as there was."

i think the issue is, that so many people were celebrating it bc of embiid but not when they’re favorite player is going to be affected by it they want it changed. expectations are fine but the rule isn’t bad.

"In the past, guys would be playing 40 or 50 games and then be up for All-NBA teams... their numbers would be better... versus somebody who played 68-72 games… You basically came to work half the time and then got rewarded for it." —Jaylen Brown

@iamrahstradamus Good job of nitpicking games when everyone knows its blowouts nightly

Jaylen Brown on his live stream talks about the 65 game criteria and calls fans out about for changing their opinions on it 👀 “Everyone was in support it, because guys were load managing, now all of a sudden people don’t want it anymore”
