Album Review for Its Something in the Water by LaRussell & Lil Jon Lemme preface this now, this review been done before all the “Heaven Sent” bullshit, I just been busy. Now that we have this out the way. The best way I can describe this album is ummm… Remember on the episode of Family Guy we got the cutaway of the “Clean Will Smith” raps?? Yeah, this is it. Just corny and without much substance. He’s rapping about his life but it’s all surface level “I found god” type bullshit and it comes off more annoying than anything. Bro has a terrible pen, more like a color pencil to be honest. As for his tired flow, them lyrics don’t help. The production is hit or miss to be honest. A lot of these beats are wasted on terrible lines and overall it’s a drag to go through. If you’re a fan of this, enjoy it, but other than that it’s not worth your time. Final Score: Torn ACL/10
