@RedSkySummit Even more important than putting more "horsepower" into tech solutions, @forestservice and @DOIWildlandFire need to address overall workforce capacity issues! Try simplifying AD hiring to effectively tap those with non-fed fire qualifications... among other possibilities.

"There’s no shortage of big ideas. Figuring out how to co-develop, so that it can be used by tribes, federal gov., and everyone in between. If we can crack that code, we will put more horsepower into the tech solutions than we ever have." - Jeff Marsolais, U.S. Forest Service

Red Flag Warnings and Fire Weather Watches are in effect across many parts of California from 11 AM Tuesday through 7 AM Thursday due to strong offshore winds, near-critical relative humidity with poor overnight recovery, and dry fuels. These conditions pose a significant fire risk across both coastal and inland areas. As a reminder, California’s 2024 fire season runs through December 31, 2024. Some of California's most devastating wildfires have occurred in late autumn and early winter, particularly in November and December. Every dry, windy day up until then holds the potential for wildfires. Stay informed, stay vigilant, and make sure you’re prepared. #RedFlagWarning #FireWeatherWatch #ReadyforWildfire
