チェンソーマンの感想誰とも交わせないのでここに書くが。 ポチタがなんの悪魔かわからんけど 「最悪」だったら面白いなと思っている。 デンジは最悪の状況下で最高の状態になるという特性をもっていた。スケベな期待や暮らしぶりの夢さえあれば、地獄でも絶望せずに生きていけるヤバいやつだ。だからポチタと真のマブダチになれた。ポチタを受け入れられる唯一の器だったんじゃないか。 そして、実はそれは、読者そのものだ。 漫画家をやってるとよくわかるのだが、最悪というのは現実には最悪だが、物語としては最高だ。読み手は最悪が訪れるとワクワクして最高への到達を期待する。漫画の世界の人間がそれを見たらおそらく悪魔に見えるだろう。 虚構と現実の間に倫理的な相反を抱えながら、人々は漫画を描いたり読んだりしている。このアンビバレンツを解消するために、作品はテーマを持ったり、良い結末を迎えたりする。そこには、作為や偽善の香りが漂う。漂うことが当たり前すぎて忘れていたりもする。そこから離れたいと思う作家もいるし、必要だと思う作家もいる。 多くの場合、読者は最悪の先に夢の実現を予感している（デンジのように）。だがそれは虚構だからこその作為への期待だ。都合がいい、醜いと感じることもある。チェンソーマンはそういう居心地の悪さをずっと扱ってた気もする。安心して最悪を楽しむための「大きな正義」にコミットせず、倫理的な言い訳が少ない主人公。モブを面白おかしく殺したと思えば、モブにも人生がある的な視点を差し込んできたりもする。面白おかしく笑えるように描いておきながら。 そういう物語の暴力性への耐性は人それぞれで、人によってはアンパンマンでも許せないし、人によってはチェンソーマンに大興奮する。最悪に期待する人に時々冷や水をかけながら、最悪はインフレしていった。 そして最後はどうなったのだろうか。最終話、最悪の展開が世界から消えたように個人的には感じた。暴力よりも死よりも最悪な何かが人にはあったりするだろうが、それだけは避けられている、そんな世界に見えなくもなかった。 最悪は人を惹きつける。それは暴力的でもある。最悪のない世界は最高かもしれないが最悪かもしれない。良い人間というのは、虚構であっても最悪に喜ばないかもしれない。そういう意味では創作は呪われているのかもしれないと思うこともある。 「最悪で最高な脳みそ」をもっているのはデンジだけではなく我々読者も一緒なのかもしれない。 そう考えると、ポチタは最後デンジを抱きしめると同時に読者を抱きしめたのかもしれない。
