@artvenske Now I can’t pretend to be an expert on this. I’ve got my novel going around 3 different beta readers ATM, and what I’m doing is sending PDFs of 2 chapters at a time. This seems to be working well for me so far.

Question here for the #WritingCommunity how does everyone start sharing their finished work with beta readers? Like do you share PDFs of chapter by chapter, or do you upload your full manuscript to privately secured websites. Maybe there’s a way to make a private link on Wattpad?

3/4. Looking for honest feedback on how the story flows, how the characters feel, etc. It would be good to have someone who already enjoys horror read this, as this is the group of people that would be reading if it ever got published.

@euwyngoh Great thank you, this is pretty much what I was thinking anyway and what I’ve started off doing. Chapters 1&2 are with two people who I’m currently waiting feedback from. We shall see how it goes 🙌🏻

@CAHardieWriting i'd avoid full-manuscript links until you've tested the reader. send a chapter or 2 as a pdf, give them 3-5 questions, then see whether their feedback is specific enough to earn the whole book. vague praise is a bad beta signal

Well #WritingCommunity, it’s been a couple of weeks since I last posted. But I’ve now finished my first round of editing 🥳 now to search for beta readers to give some constructive criticism or feedback 📖

I am in the midst of final revisions on my next book, an epic fantasy-mystery titled THE DARKEST FATE and in the preliminary stages of a murder mystery comic called THE BUTLER MANOR MURDERS with artist John Vitale. Here's a tease of his stellar art:

Just finished and would highly recommend. Sam manages to capture you in just 126 pages. Manages to keep you invested in all the character’s whilst also giving each of them satisfying conclusions in such a short time. If you like dark fantasy/horror and the occult, this is for you

@WrnrWrites Unfortunately, the AI slop is getting better and better. I do believe I have a keen eye for it, but there are some photos that are getting quite difficult to tell apart

I've been so intimated by getting the first draft of this book done before summer ends and my term starts in the middle of June but its flowing very fast. Manged to get in 2.5k words today and it's only noon.

@ChayleeMccleese I have noticed a very similar thing in my own writing. Writing so quick and then when I go back I’m like wtf word was I even trying to go for

Managed* apparently I can write a lot today but not spell 🤦🏼‍♀️

@StevenTBoers63 I don’t set myself too much goals other than to try and write even just a little every single day. Managing a full time job and a toddler only gives me so much time in the day and most of that free time I do spent writing

Writing thought: I tend to try writing a full chapter a day. Sometimes that doesn't happen, and that's fine, but it's what I strive for. What is your typical writing goal? Or do you have one?

@whataimeereads_ I plot everything out from start to finish before even writing chapter one but then I do find myself enjoying certain characters more than I expected and so I let them live a little bit longer (if it makes sense) and giving them a bit of a bigger role (again if it makes sense)

It doesn't matter how much I plan my WIPS outline Once I'm writing it just changes. Anyone else?

Unfortunately I've had to put my profile on private it again. Not sure if anyone remembers the reason I came off Twitter a while ago. But that person is back with another account tagging me in inappropriate things again. So I will be culling my followers list soon.
