We condemn a formal ethics complaint filed against Judge Steven Brister, a municipal court judge in East Orange, for wearing religious and cultural attire at a judicial conference in June 2025.

We also condemn the recent bombing of an Iranian school by the U.S. and Israel, which reportedly killed over 100 schoolgirls. These attacks occurred during active negotiations and the holy month of Ramadan.

Abu Siyam is the second teenager from the tri-state area killed in the West Bank in less than a year, following the death of 14-year-old Amer Rabea of Saddle Brook, New Jersey. CAIR has sent a formal letter to the State and Justice Departments regarding the case.

We are demanding a federal investigation into the killing of 19-year-old American citizen Nasrallah Abu Siyam, who was fatally shot by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank on February 18, 2026.
