The “why bother?” part is what loses me 😭 Why bother? Because people have asked for Jason in DBD for almost a decade. Because rights situations change. Because relationships with license holders matter. Because getting Jason in the door today could open doors tomorrow. And because Jason with 85% of the package is still more Jason than the 0% we had for years.

Genuine question what is wrong with DBD community lately? Played like 15 matches today across survivor and killer and I don’t think I have had end game chat that hasn’t included transphobic or homophobic comments in it! Like is it actually that hard to play the game & be nice?

Lowkey this is the first Jason criticism I’ve seen that actually sounds like gameplay discussion and not panic 😭 If Omnipresent Evil can only end through teleport prompts I kinda get the concern… but I’m also wondering if BHVR is preventing “enter power then cancel then free haste spam” abuse. PTB gonna answer everything.

Jason's power seems quite strong but I have one issue...you can't exit your mode unless there's a tp prompt? Maybe I'm misunderstanding it, but that makes deadzones actually nerf him slightly which makes NO sense. Why can I enter power whenever but not exit it whenever?

@StaidBubble12 I get wanting survivors, perks and cosmetics. But calling “only Jason” disappointing when survivor players are literally about to get an entirely new killer to learn, counter and survive against feels kinda wild 😭 You don’t have to play killer for a killer to be content.

I really hate bhvr's pattern of not adding survivors for licenses Tokyo Ghoul, NOTLC, AOT, Darkest Dungeon only had cosplays We didn't get movie Mike or Vanessa for FNAF, and now we're only just getting Jason I enjoy the survivor more than the killer so it's really disappointing

@femmunculus Real thought: I don’t think the hardest part of accountability in communities is knowing right from wrong. I think it’s what happens when the person in the wrong is someone people actually like. That’s where things suddenly get real quiet.

Of course Jason is more popular — he’s a legendary horror icon. But that doesn’t change the fact that it would be a weak chapter if it really only includes him without a map, let alone survivors. For a 10th anniversary, that’s pretty disappointing, and you can’t really call it the most successful chapter of all time, no matter how many people love him and like the post/video.

Last I say about Jason till PTB, but for everyone saying no one cares about Jason or that he does not sell. These are the numbers of the Fnaf trailer after almost a year, besides them, the numbers for Jason after not even a full 24 hours

@FrostLouve I’m not on the “fake horror fan” train at all. But if Jason pops up and you’ve never heard of him… wouldn’t your first thought be “wait who is this and why is everyone losing their minds?” 😭 Curiosity is part of fandom too.

I’ve seen a lot of discussion around Jason finally coming to DBD, and I’ve seen people calling others “fake horror fans” because they didn’t know who he was. As someone who grew up loving the horror genre, all I have to say is this:

Are we really review bombing bc of the stream? DBD did something new & 40k ppl stayed up to watch a cabin & theorize over the slightest of sounds. The whole point was to build anticipation & for the community to theorize. It was supposed to be FUN & y’all are acting like victims.

Jason didn’t even get the hockey mask until Friday the 13th Part III. Before that he was rocking the sack-over-the-head look 😭 The iconic mask actually belonged to Shelly and Jason took it after killing him. Wild that one of horror’s most legendary looks started as a random prop.

Could it be possible Jason isn’t just going to be a standalone killer in DBD and we possibly get a new survivor alongside him? There was definitely someone (human) hiding inside that cabin overnight… maybe they escaped just in time? I have a few theories… 👀 Unsure about a new map but since the Unknown was seen in the livestream, maybe we’ll get a (tile) map like we did with TWD in the withered isle realm.. it has to connect somehow
