I was sitting in my car crying in the Target parking lot. Just got the call. Didn't get the job. Third interview that month. Rejection after rejection. Felt like I'd never catch a break. This old man knocked on my window. Startled me. He was holding something. I rolled down the window. "Sorry to bother you dear, but you dropped this." Handed me a twenty dollar bill.
