I’ve noticed a lot of that expertise, you speak about, has recently moved to rural communities. I would have like to hear your response to how ( a mayor, like yourself) harnesses that talent, for small community initiatives, growth and planning. Come on @CBCCrossCountry !

@npeckford @CBCCrossCountry Cities and rural towns can't be expected to tackle the housing crisis without being in the conversation. That's why I think there needs to be a table of inter-governmental cooperation. To hash out a plan thats doable based in adequate resources and competencies being available.

Gréât discussion @CBCCrossCountry but disappointed you didn’t ask non-urban mayors directly for their perspective or address the needs of rural Canadians. @leilanifarha is correct - expertise is lacking at a local level to make affordable housing a reality in many towns.
