@CBCMeaghanK @CraigBaird Maybe: The metal parts for each hole had two parts. Usually one part folded up, and the other part folded down.
I’d also like to hear if there is a more official reason.

I had Conway as a prof. He never discriminated against the non-socialist students. That was good - Socialist intellectual John Conway challenged others to think differently about the world theglobeandmail.com/canada/article…

@bunsenbernerbmd Aww, poor guy! But out of all those, it is the best case. Pity it's during his favourite season! Doggie chiropractic wouldn't help?

Today Bunsen saw a neurologist for the odd gait he has had since early December.
It has been a long road as his symptoms first presented as Arthritis, then perhaps something much more worrisome and likely fatal like Wobber's or Neurological Lesions.
After after weeks of zero improvement the vet team got us a referral.
Bunsen's initial exam toal showed either a degenerative disease in his spine, meningitis or a slipped disk. There was also many other possible outliers like a cyst in his brain or on his spine but he needed a MRI scan.
So he had a MRI scan.
The scan showed a slipped disk in his lower neck (just back from his shoulder blades) - and according to the specialist this where it would occur in large breed dogs.
There is no way to tell what caused it.
While this is not amazing news, out of all the possibilities, it's the best news.
It's something that may get better with time (in people it improves with rest after 3 months), and there is also a surgery option if he doesn't improve. The big guy will also be on pain meds and thankfully it likely isn't something that will progressively get worse and ultimately end his life early.
Bunsen is on extreme rest to heal, so you won't see him on any of our snow adventures for a while.
