ST. LOUIS -- Christian Brothers College High School has named TJ Vorva as the next head volleyball coach. Vorva, the former men’s volleyball head coach at Fontbonne University, replaces Alex Erbs ’14, who has stepped down as the Cadets’ head coach after seven years to focus on his business and personal endeavors. Erbs will continue to help the CBC volleyball team as an assistant coach. “I’m thrilled to take the helm at CBC, and build on the strong foundation Alex Erbs established,” Vorva said. “My goal is to prepare these young men both physically and mentally for their next steps, whether that’s competing for state volleyball titles or excelling in life beyond the court. The third-seeded CBC volleyball team earned an impressive 3-0 sweep over visiting No. 2 seed Parkway Central in the semifinals of the Class 1 District 7 tournament on Tuesday afternoon at CBC.
