High temperatures today..most spots were a degree or two cooler today than yesterday due to the additional cloud cover and the few showers that did roll through. Plenty hot and moderately muggy, especially for so early in the season.

The highest so far today at Albany has been 91°, which ties today's record of 91° set in 1989. We're down a bit now because of clouds and passing showers, but could gain back a few degrees into the evening.

Isolated showers are starting to pop up across the area as of 2pm. A few of these could develop into thunderstorms as they move east. Be alert, any t'storm today could go on to produce locally damaging wind gusts.

High temperature forecast for tomorrow (Tuesday.) Basically about the same as Monday except with a bit more in the way of cloudiness and a gustier breeze.

4pm observations illustrating the heat in the east today.

Our first 90° day this season (today) came earlier than last year and earlier than the median date...not unusual though. We'll get another one tomorrow and then it's back to much cooler weather.

There's still a few sprinkle and patchy light showers around but they're in the process of drying up. But if there's any still around this evening they'll be minor so aside from it being cool, the weather for the ValleyCats home opener looks good at the Joe this evening.
