@kiddwikked @melindahellyer @elonmusk Show the cuts. Show anywhere Elon was going to go easy on DOD. Show any work at all. Show me any budget where things are funded less than the year before. You can’t

@kiddwikked @melindahellyer @elonmusk I mean that literally didn’t happen. They tried to cut that stuff, it was all fully funded the next CR. So making shit up that is spewed for no purpose but to form narratives to meet political ends and not policy ends gets a whopping 0% effort nuh huh

@CBTyrrell @kiddwikked @elonmusk No, he didn’t reduce funding where it mattered, where the extreme bloat is, like the military. He gleefully slashed spending on programs he had a personal dislike of, like aid and oversight. All he did was kill people, literally, by starvation & disease, and harm gov agencies.

@Vrabel56 @Rothmus The population of Oregon and Washington is about = to 90% of the rest of yellow, I'd say far more red / blue balance. And you get both coasts.

@Rothmus Red is too ugly unless you love desert for a majority of it outside of a few outlier areas. Yellow is too southern and republican for me Green I don't know enough about Blue and purple are too liberal for me Give me orange! Good mix of it all

@CollegeFBonX 2012 Texas A&M Florida first game of the season. According to then OC Kliff Kingsbury, he had strict reigns on Johnny Manziel and ran the most vanilla toothless offense for a game ever seen. Let him loose knowing what happened the rest of that season.

@gsalisb @elonmusk Solid state batteries will achieve this. Already do according to Toyota, though MIT has claimed this for 15 years, so don't believe anyone until they make a thousand of something publicly available to buy.

@elonmusk Until recharging takes less than 10 minutes and batteries are operational for more than 10 years , I don’t see EVs replacing ICEs especially for us rural folks.

@elonmusk Solid state batteries, and graphene based solar power generation, either nodal private owned out, or massive government farms when they can double as water retention shade or similar secondary and tertiary uses. Else the world cannot support wholly electric travel.

Problem is that there is a political machine that operates annually in the trillions of dollars. The only way to even imagine competing with it is to first cut off its funding. DOGE attempted this. He actually attempted in earnest to do what he set out to do. DC ignored it, machine still prints, borrows, spends, launders, it's all our tax money or our debt spent USD being used against us. Even the literal richest man on Earth cannot compete. It's intellectually lazy to think Elon is lying when he said this, he was just not prepared.

Please note the one time he personally had power to fix a bit of government, he negotiated the passing of the Fiscal Responsibility Act which literally was a very tiny budget win, first ever in our lifetimes. And MAGA 100% holds that against him because it was a trade of debt ceiling under Biden. Which was going to raise no matter what given the fact it has never once not been raised. So he did what you said the only time he wasn’t just 1/435th of a vote. Johnson wholly ignores the FRA by the way.

@LibertyCappy @RepThomasMassie There's a lot to like about Massie. My only concern is that he seems to be too all-or-nothing when it comes to fixing the broken parts of government. In general, I'd rather have even a 10% fix than a 0% fix ... then repeat the 10% fix until we reach 100%.

@joe2bear1985 @LibertyCappy @RepThomasMassie You have one example of this claim? All he did under Biden was help secure the Fiscal Responsibility Act. A 1% budget cut each year a budget can’t pass and mandates each budget pass alone not omnibus. He never once voted yes on a budget or CR under Biden. Ever. Hope this helps.

@LibertyCappy @RepThomasMassie Wait, so you provide one example of him doing the right thing. And IGNORE all the bad bills he helped passed under Biden? Get real.. massie is deeply unpopular. We'll see if he even holds his seat

@R3GUL4T3R @ComicDaveSmith You have to go back to the 50s to run this hypothetical, maybe farther but start at CIA helping to overthrow Mosaddegh. We also trained / armed Saddam to fight Iran when our 1950s installment got ousted there.

If the US had NEVER sent troops into the Middle East, here’s the most likely outcome: Saddam keeps Kuwait in 1990, grabs 20% of world oil, floods his regime with cash and sparks a brutal global price shock + recession. No 2003 invasion means no power vacuum; Saddam stays in charge, crushing Kurds and Shia with the same iron fist until the Arab Spring finally cracks his regime anyway. Afghanistan? Taliban rules forever. Al-Qaeda keeps its safe haven, launching more attacks worldwide because there’s no US occupation to distract or dismantle them. The region becomes a nasty multipolar dictatorship contest: stronger Iraq checks Iran early, Saudi & Turkey arm-race via proxies. Oil stays expensive longer, but no ISIS explosion, fewer millions displaced, and way less anti-American rage. America saves $ trillions, thousands of lives, and pivots to China decades sooner. Outcome: Still brutal, still unstable, still terror-plagued just different flavors of hell with zero US fingerprints. Interventions didn’t create peace; they just swapped one set of nightmares for another.
