@jason_loxton Politically fraught because you would have faculty whose emphasis is research, not teaching and bad faculty that benefit from the current paradigm because of glowing evaluations. Putting issue at door step of union is a cop out and misses mark.

@CBUChemistry Wasn't bashing unions. Just speaking to reality that getting consent for alternative forms of evaluation would be incredibly politically fraught.

@jason_loxton Terrible people exist on both sides. Faculty unions exist to fend of terrible administrators. Anyone not doing their job is a result of failure to manage. Addressing bad faculty from within a department and school is best way to address issue but hard. Bashing unions is easy.
