Today on #EssentialClassics @Bbcradio3 with @MannGeorgia the last in our #Byrdspotting pieces - 60 works by William Byrd, 1 per day for 12 weeks. Such a treat to research, listen and select these - so much of his supreme music we don’t really know! Proper #Byrdnyrd stuff 🦉🤓

Only surviving late c17th #Gothic church is St Mary Aldermary. Rebuilt by Sir Christopher Wren's team with its unique plaster vaulting and wooden sword rest.
