Tonight is the final home game as we recognize our seniors at Comet Field. The Comets are playing the #1 ranked Clear Lake Lions. Varsity at 7:30 PM with 9/10 at 5:00 PM.

Wk 8 took us to Bethany Alliance Church for team dinner. Great hosts who were very welcoming & generous. It is a blessing to be able to have a meal together each week. Season captains Bennett Hansen & Luke Jacobs will be joined by game captains Blake Dean & Tyler Heitz.

Our Comets are looking forward to the challenge as we travel to Manchester, IA, tonight to take on the #2 ranked West Delaware Hawks. Varsity at 7:30 PM with 9/10 at 5:00 PM.

Week 7 team dinner took us to Ginger’s Top Shelf in Floyd, IA. Salad, burgers, chicken, mac & cheese along with cake - it was EXCELLENT food! Game captains Tyler Heitz and Micah Thompson will join season captains Bennett Hansen and Luke Jacobs.

Senior RB Deacon Caspers broke the Charles City Football career rushing record on Friday night. He has 2,474 career rushing yards, passing former Comet great Trevor Heitz who totaled 2,373 career rushing yards. Deacon & teammates have three regular season games left. Congrats!

New this year, we are having HS fball players take time during early-out PD Wednesday to interact w/our MS fball players. Pictured are juniors Patrick Bruening, Hunter Boehmer, Cameron Littleton, & Justin Williams. Thanks Coach Schmalen & Coach Cranshaw for their organization!

Our Comets will be in Forest City with kickoff at 7 PM. Tickets can be purchased via Bound or electronically at the gate. Listen to the game on KCHA News if you are unable to make it!
