Johny Srouji, an Israeli-Arab (Palestinian) Christian from Haifa, has just become Apple’s first-ever Chief Hardware Officer, essentially the second highest positions at one of the world’s most valuable and influential companies. After studying computer science at the Technion, Srouji held senior processor-development roles at IBM and Intel before joining Apple in 2008 to lead development of the A4, Apple’s first custom system-on-a-chip. Today, Srouji is Apple’s Chief Hardware Officer and the top executive responsible for Apple’s hardware development, including the hardware design and engineering behind products like the iPhone, iPad, and Mac, as well as Apple silicon and other core technologies that power Apple’s devices. Srouji’s remarkable journey is just one powerful example of the great achievements of Arab (Palestinian) citizens of Israel. From Haifa to the highest levels of global technology, his story highlights how Arab Israelis — including members of Israel’s Christian Arab community — continue to thrive in Israel, building successful careers, break barriers, and making extraordinary contributions in Israel and around the world. His success is also a reminder that Israeli society is far more diverse and complex than the simplistic narratives often used to describe it.

The Egyptian coach's tantrum at the FIFA World Cup should come as no surprise. After Egypt's elimination, social media was flooded with baseless conspiracy theories claiming FIFA had somehow rigged the match because of the coach's outspoken support for the Palestinian cause. WATCH what being a sore loser and bad sportsmanship looks like. Messi calmly walked over to the Egyptian coach and asked, "What's wrong with you?" The exchange was caught on camera and quickly went viral. Given everything we witnessed from the Egyptian coaching staff throughout the tournament, this outburst was entirely in character. Losing with dignity is part of sport. This wasn't.

This is beyond ridiculous. After Egypt's World Cup loss, people edited the referee's Wikipedia page to falsely claim he was Jewish, then circulated the fabricated screenshot online to blame the defeat on Jews. This was the deliberate spread of an antisemitic conspiracy theory by people who couldn't accept the result. When your first instinct after losing a football match is to blame the Jews, the problem isn't the referee. It's your antisemitism. Sore losers scapegoating Jews for their failures.

Talk about a sore loser. 🇦🇷🤝🇮🇱 After Argentina’s 3-2 victory over Egypt, Argentine fans waved Israeli flags as Egypt’s coach, Hossam Hassan, walked past. Hassan appeared to lose his temper at the supporters. The irony? During the World Cup, Hassan himself repeatedly displayed a Palestinian flag while leading Egypt. If you’re going to bring politics into football, don’t be surprised when others respond. He can dish it out, but he clearly can’t take it.

Israelis don’t take a lot of things seriously. But when the World Cup is on? It becomes a national holiday. ⚽🇮🇱

Makes us so emotional. Former hostage Alon Ohel, who was held hostage for 738 days in Hamas captivity, is finally free and celebrating America’s 250th Independence. Alon is a talented pianist and performed the hit song "Superman" alongside John Ondrasik, known as Five for Fighting, aboard the USS Nimitz in New York.

Another attempt to isolate Israel in international sports has failed. The European Kendo Federation overwhelmingly rejected a Turkish-backed effort to expel the Israel Kendo & Budo Federation, with only four members voting in favor. The result sends a clear message that political campaigns to exclude Israeli athletes continue to face resistance from the international sporting community.

Julian Casablancas is once again not “speaking truth to power.” He is laundering antisemitism through the language of social justice. First, on Subway Takes, The Strokes frontman claimed that American Zionists enjoy “white privilege” while speaking as if they are “Black people during slavery” — a grotesque comparison that erases Jewish history, minimizes antisemitism, is bigoted, and mocks Jewish trauma. Now, at the Oxford Union, he has doubled down. Casablancas falsely accused Zionism and Israel of seeking “expansion” of the country, pushing the “Greater Israel” lie that Israel is trying to take over the Middle East (just as Israel signed a deal with Lebanon that says the exact opposite), then suggested that Jews who refuse to call Israel’s war against Hamas a “genocide” and who refuse to further the genocide lie, are supporters of “Jewish supremacy” and “white supremacy.” This is all very dangerous. It turns Jewish identity and Jewish self-determination into something sinister. It tells Jews they must pass a political purity test before they are allowed to be heard. And it gives cover to those who target Jews and Israelis under the banner of “activism.” Criticism of any government is fair game. Demonizing Jews, distorting Jewish identity, and recycling antisemitic tropes is not. Julian Casablancas should be held accountable.

Eurovision organizers have taken a clear stance: Israel is here to stay. Contest director Martin Green confirmed there will be no new vote after nearly 70% of EBU members backed Israeli broadcaster Kan’s participation. He also dismissed claims that this year’s voting was manipulated or that the contest is facing financial turmoil, stating there was “no evidence of anything untoward” and that the results were “fair and true.” Thank you, Martin Green, for upholding the true values of Eurovision.

Prada has appointed Jerusalem-born artist Marwan Abdelhamid, known professionally as Saint Levant, as its newest global brand ambassador. This is the same individual who publicly praised those responsible for the violent attacks against Jews during the November 2024 Amsterdam "Jew-hunt" pogrom. We have included video of those remarks. Luxury brands have every right to choose their ambassadors. But no brand should elevate someone who glorifies violence against Jews. Prada should do better.

Today marks 1000 days since Eliya Cohen and Or Levy were kidnapped from a music festival and were held hostage for over 490 days in the tunnels of Gaza by Hamas terrorists. Yesterday, the two were embracing at Eliya’s Henna party alongside several other former hostages who were freed from Hamas captivity. Moments like these remind us that Jewish resilience and joy will never be defeated by hatred and terror.

The Maccabiah Games start TONIGHT in Israel. 5000 Jewish athletes and 10,000 guest will be gathering in israel for the opening ceremony tonight. This competition was cancelled last year because of war and brings together Jewish athletes from all over the world to compete in the games. We are wishing luck to every single athlete participating. While they come from all different backgrounds and countries, the one thing that unite them is their Jewish pride and love of sports.

An old clip of actress @TiffanyHaddish talking about how she discovered her Jewish background and how she has worked to stay connected to her culture and roots. Tiffany was one of the few people in Hollywood who was brave enough to actually travel to Israel and listen to the stories from people who have lived through the conflict. We commend her for her bravery and we hope others in Hollywood follow her example.

An incredibly emotional moment. ❤️ Through AI technology, the voice of Shani Gabay, who was murdered by Hamas at the Nova Music Festival on October 7, 2023, was recreated for one final message to her sister, Nitzan. As Nitzan walked down the aisle on her wedding day, she was able to hear Shani’s voice once more. May Shani’s memory forever be a blessing. 🕊️

Nearly a decade after performing in Israel, exiled Iranian singer and rapper Shahin Najafi says he wants to return. Sentenced to death in absentia for criticizing the Iranian regime, Najafi described Israel as reminding him of Iran because of its Middle Eastern character. “It was a very enjoyable experience, and I would be happy to come perform again in Israel,” he said.

American Jewish actress Mayim Bialik speaks candidly about experiencing antisemitism in the aftermath of October 7 and the fear she has for what her children may face simply for being Jewish. At a time when antisemitism is rising around the world, public figures have a responsibility to ensure they are sharing accurate information rather than amplifying misinformation about one of the world's most complex conflicts.
