Since coming to The League, one of the real blessings for me has been getting to know Pastor Ramsey Tripp and his wife, Kristin. They’re real about life. They love the Lord, they love each other, and they’re faithful in what God has called them to. This Mother’s Day conversation is Ramsey sitting down with Kristin to talk about motherhood—but it’s really an honest look at marriage, family, faith, and the calling God has placed on their lives. Ministry in the Marketplace: How One Maine Family Runs Their Greenhouse for God’s Glory Nick Adolphsen sits down with Katherine Young of Young’s Greenhouse in South Paris, Maine — a thriving, multi-generational family business with 14 greenhouses and four acres under cover. What started as a way for dairy farmers to supplement income has grown into one of Maine’s largest greenhouses, offering perennials, annuals, vegetables, succulents, hanging baskets, and more. But this episode goes far beyond plants. The Christian Civic League of Maine stood before the Judiciary Committee to testify in support of LD 2239. In her testimony, Holly Lusk reminded lawmakers that the truth of male and female is written into God’s creation, confirmed by biology, and essential for protecting the safety, privacy, and fairness owed to girls and women in sports, locker rooms, and beyond. Denying biological reality brings confusion, not compassion. Affirming truth is an act of love. Although the legislature rejected the bill, Maine voters now have the opportunity to protect our daughters and restore sanity this November. We urge every voter to make their voices heard at the ballot box.

Unless we all surrender to some kind of authority in our lives, personal autonomy will descend into anarchy or the government response to anarchy, which is usually tyranny. For the Christian, we order all authority with God as the head over all things. As we surrender to the authority of Jesus—who laid down His life in obedience to the Father and was raised in vindication—He becomes head over all things to the Church, enabling us to seek the flourishing of others within the good limits God has written into the universe.”

Let them speak first… and then look for the opportunity to share the gospel. Whether they’re from away or born and raised here in Maine, they need the gospel. It’s the only hope we have.”

Pastor Josh Howerton (@howertonjosh) offers a powerful challenge on the Live Free Podcast: “There is not one square inch of the universe over which Christ does not stand and cry, ‘Mine.’” If godly people don’t engage in politics and culture, godless ideas will fill the void. Satan doesn’t sit on the sidelines — why should Team Jesus? He reminds us: 40 million Bible-believing Christians stay home in presidential elections… yet some races are decided by less than 1 million votes. A tiny fraction vote in midterms. That silence has consequences for our families, our freedoms, and the future of the Church. We are called to be the salt of the earth, not just the salt of the church. Our engagement today shapes the cultural inheritance we leave our kids and grandkids — and how easy or hard it will be for the next generation to fulfill the Great Commission. A massive 8–1 win at the U.S. Supreme Court today—striking a blow against censorship and affirming our fundamental freedoms of speech and religion.
