CCSJ was deeply saddened by the news of a fatal incident involving Corazon Dandan, a 74-year-old Asian woman, at Powell BART Station late Monday evening. We are directly in touch with the victim’s family and actively working with BART PD, SFPD, and other authorities at this time.

It is unacceptable that DA Brooke Jenkins has decided not to file charges against the armed security guard who killed Banko Brown. Let's join this action happening tmrw in front of the DA's office to demand that she hold Michael Earl-Wayne Anthony accountable for killing Banko.

Like many of you, the Coalition for Community Safety and Justice is in grief as we mourn the lives lost in the horrific tragedy last night in Monterey Park, California during a #LunarNewYear celebration. Here is our statement in response to these events.

We condemn the recent attacks in San Francisco targeting two Chinese seniors. Both incidents of violence have left victims seriously injured and traumatized, and we want to share the work we've been doing on the ground to support the victims.

CCSJ is proud to be a grant recipient of California’s first-ever Transformative Grants program. CCSJ was awarded $5,736,660, which will increase capacity to better serve AAPI victims and expand violence prevention and intervention programming in SF. Read our full statement:
