PUBLIC NOTICE: DISINFORMATION ON CDCFIB RECRUITMENT EXERCISE The attention of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has been drawn to false information on the ongoing recruitment exercise being circulated across various channels, particularly social media platforms. To set the record straight and prevent confusion among the general public, the Board wishes to state as follows: The public is advised to exercise caution and verify all information online. Misleading messages concerning the ongoing recruitment exercise are disruptive and capable of undermining the aspirations of genuine applicants. The Board is taking all necessary steps to identify and prosecute individuals or groups responsible for creating and disseminating false information. The spread of unauthorized and misleading information is a criminal offense. Offenders will be brought to book and sanctioned in accordance with extant laws. This serves as a final warning to all social media users and account holders involved in propagating falsehoods relating to the ongoing recruitment exercise. The Board is collaborating with relevant security and law enforcement agencies to monitor and address all cases of misinformation. Violators will be prosecuted accordingly. Applicants and stakeholders are strongly advised to rely ONLY on the official CDCFIB recruitment portal: recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng and verified Board communication channels for authentic updates. The Board appeals to the public to report suspicious content and refrain from sharing unverified information. Earlier today, the Secretary to the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), Maj. Gen A M Jibril (Rtd), represented the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, at the Headquarters of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Sauka, Abuja, during the celebration of two years of dedicated service by the NSCDC Mining Marshals and the commissioning of eight operational gun trucks by the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake. Speaking at the event, Maj Gen. Jibril conveyed the commitment of the Ministry of Interior to strengthening collaboration with the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development and other relevant stakeholders to safeguard Nigeria’s solid mineral resources and enhance national security. He assured the Minister of Solid Minerals Development of the Ministry of Interior’s readiness to work closely with all security agencies to combat illegal mining activities and protect the nation’s economic assets. In his remarks, Dr. Dele Alake reiterated the commitment of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to deploying all necessary measures to eliminate illegal mining and other acts of sabotage within the mining sector. He noted that securing Nigeria’s mineral resources remains a critical component of the government’s strategy for economic growth, revenue generation, and sustainable national development. The event highlighted the achievements of the NSCDC Mining Marshals over the past two years and underscored the Federal Government’s determination to strengthen the protection of Nigeria’s solid mineral resources. CDCFIB HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS’ ENGAGEMENT WITH NYCN ON CREDIBLE RECRUITMENT PROCESS The Secretary to the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, Maj Gen A M Jibrin (Rtd), on Monday, 25th May 2026, engaged members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria in a one-day stakeholders’ engagement aimed at sensitizing Nigerian youths on the recruitment processes into the four services under the Board’s supervision. The engagement, which forms part of the present administration’s policy on transparency, inclusiveness, and youth participation, provided an avenue for meaningful interaction between the Board and youth representatives across the country. Speaking during the session, the Secretary to the Board emphasized the commitment of the Board to ensuring a credible, transparent, and merit-based recruitment process into the: Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Nigerian Correctional Service Federal Fire Service Nigeria Immigration Service He noted that the sensitization programme was designed to educate Nigerian youths on the official recruitment procedures, application requirements, and the importance of avoiding fraudulent activities and misinformation during recruitment exercises. The programme featured an interactive session where participants asked questions and received clarifications on issues relating to recruitment processes, eligibility criteria, transparency mechanisms, and equal opportunities for all qualified Nigerians. Members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria commended the Board for the initiative and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage directly with the management of the board. The Board reaffirmed its dedication to sustaining stakeholder engagement and strengthening public trust through openness and accountability in all its activities.
