This is what American-led #GlobalHealthSecurity looks like. In 2025, Uganda reported an outbreak of Ebola. The CDC quickly deployed trained experts to assist Uganda’s national response. Collaborating with local teams, they effectively tracked and contained the outbreak to just 9 cases, preventing it from spreading further, both globally and to the United States. Keeping Americans safe is our number 1 goal. #CrisisToControl

Working closely with Tanzania’s Ministry of Health, CDC detected the virus within 48 hours, stopping it from crossing international borders. This is what #GlobalHealthSecurity looks like. In 2025 a dangerous bacterial outbreak spread in Vietnam during peak travel season. CDC experts and local health officials moved fast— detecting the outbreak in one day, containing it to 38 cases, and stopping its spread across borders. Keeping Americans safe is our number #1 goal. #CrisisToControl.

This is what American-led #GlobalHealthSecurity looks like. Most infectious disease outbreaks never make the news because CDC teams are on the frontlines detecting and defeating deadly pathogens, stopping threats across borders before they reach the United States. Keeping Americans safe is our number #1 goal. #CrisisToControl
