On this day last year, I entered a psychiatric hospital a broken man. I had no hope. I could see no future, and I was completely drained of all mental and physical energy. A year later, however, I am living a completely different life. I have completely turned my life around and am so, so proud of everything that I've achieved this year, none of which would be possible had I not asked for help. As men, we tend not to talk openly about things. We prefer to suppress things just bury it deep in the hope it'll go away, but it rarely does. It can be difficult to speak openly about our feelings, but not speaking rarely has a positive outcome. It's so important to ask for help. It's nothing to be ashamed of, but it could change your life forever.
