A Danish pension fund sold $100 million in US bonds. Trump said he “holds all the cards” and warned Europe against selling US assets over tariffs, or face “big retaliation”. A Swedish pension fund responded by dumping $8.8 billion in US Treasury bonds.

We’ll just print money, buy them ourselves, and your portfolio loses value.” Dropping a few hundred billion into the market would barely blip yields. •A Swedish “biljon” = 1 000 000 000 000 (10¹²).
So a Swedish “biljon” is a thousand times larger than an American billion. Translation issue

@CDG_BTC Cause a recession is only possible. We are not currently in a recession. By your standard, we've been in a recession since the "transitory" inflation started. It's a technical term used by financiers that mean we have several quarters of negative growth.

A first grader would understand the Trump effect helping the stock market early due to hope. A kindergartner would also understand it takes time to make change and the GDP through March isn’t enough time for his policies to take effect. And it would take a baby to not understand we’re in the first 25 seconds of a football game.
