Last week I spoke on Parliament Hill about the dangers posed by Bill C-9, a government censorship bill. Removing the religious defense that currently exists in the criminal code risks criminalizing prayer, preaching, and moral debate across faiths. Even inflammatory prayers investigated but not charged under the current law do not justify dismantling safeguards for millions. “If the state begins parsing Psalms line by line, we have forgotten why the Charter exists.” Limits on speech never retreat; they expand. Today it’s fringe figures; tomorrow it’s mainstream believers.

In 2025, Nova Scotia banned walking in the woods, threatening tens of thousands of dollars in fines. Now the Canadian Constitution Foundation is in Halifax to challenge this unconstitutional ban at the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia and defend freedom. theccf.ca/ccf-in-court-t…

Today I was on parliament hill talking about Bill C-9, the Liberal censorship bill. This was the coldest I've ever been giving a speech. My face froze and I had trouble even moving my lips. My hands were so cold I could barely move the pages of my speech. But this issue is so important I dont mind being uncomfortable for a few minutes. And it was great to see my friend @AndrewLawton who has done great work fighting this law.
