(Long ass cherry 🌸 life update) This isn’t really something that i talk about often on here, but i started a new medication for my ADHD at the start of the year and it has actually changed my life. ❣️ Towards the end of last year i was struggling w it worse than i ever had before and i felt like i was drowning. I didn’t even want to go home after work bc i just felt so overwhelmed…like i was suffocating. It was exhausting and frustrating. I felt so lost. It didn’t help matters that the medication i was on was making everything 10x worse…😞 Then in dec i got a new dr who prescribed me vyvanse and i feel like i’m finally, after 25+ years, able to function and operate like a normal person. Being able to tackle tasks as soon as i get home from work, cook for myself regularly, and keep my apartment nice and tidy has been literally worth its weight in gold for me. I feel like it just make me a better version of myself. A more productive, motivated, focused version. I’m so happy i could cry…my whole life i felt like i’ve been on hard mode constantly, but now i can get a break from that. Starting a new medication is extremely daunting and scary, but i’m so relieved that this was the right fit for me. I can comfortably say after taking it for 2 and a half months now i haven’t had any side effects either. It’s been like a dream.🥹 I’ve also been doing positive affirmations every day in the car on the way to work. I’ve been hyping myself up and acting like my own best friend. I have a tendency to be so brutally hard on myself and just simply decided ✨ fuck that ✨ i want to be nice to myself!!!!!!! I think i can slowly start to feel myself making baby steps of progress w that and switching over my mentality on how i think and view myself. Let me tell you… this has been a long time coming, BUT IM DOING IT BABY!!!!! (If anybody read this far ty omg holy yap….. ok bye 🩷)
