She’s a bit of an older girl. This morning she had no chance. She’s already a bit lighter with the fluid gone and she’ll get the best care possible. I’ve been too tired today to find a name. Any suggestions welcome. Her new life starts today (8/8)

I was upset about Alba last night but in one way it was lucky a report came in from 3 people. A street dog with a huge growth in an Irish bar on the other side of the island. I went to get her first thing today… (1/8)

Work In Tech And Love Dogs? I Need Help With Our Mission 🐶💻 A very different post today on Twitter to hopefully help us on our mission to reduce street dogs globally from 500 million to 250 million during my lifetime. At a very top level... 📱 We need to build a world class app to track our sterilising efforts. 💰 We know something like this could cost $100k - $1 Million+ and would find a way to fund it 🌎 We are a registered charity in the UK and USA with a growing team. We have some tech knowledge in the team but I'm worried about building a white elephant that doesn't help the mission. The Help That Is Ideally Required... What I'm trying to do is find any of the following... 🔵 Very good advisors who know about building things like this at scale 🔵 Anybody who has knowledge about building this in house / agency / partnering with large organisations etc 🔵 Open sourcing the project for others to benefit from 🔵 Ideas or direct intros for funding opportunities 🔵 Relevant tech like AI / Mapping / Data Science A Meaningful Project At Scale 💻🐶🌎 If you follow me you'll know what we are trying to do for dogs. As you'll see in the image we are scaling very fast with our sterilising efforts. We aim to get to 10,000 dogs being operated on every single month by the end of 2024. 📈 The work we do is genuinely saving 100,000s of dogs lives but this tech solution would be a key element in helping us get to millions of dogs lives saved per year. We need to do it as quickly as possible and with as much ambition as possible as the suffering is very severe. You might have seen, you might have not BUT... @thismorning are doing more Coeliac awareness in January - starting on the 10th January I'm honestly so happy that they have seen the importance of talking more about Coeliac Disease and what it's like to follow a gluten free diet when it is not a choice!! All the support has made this possible, so thank you everyone 🧡 Tune in on the 10th for a massive @Coeliac_UK awareness slot. There's not usually much to look forward to in January (I say that even with a January birthday!!) but I'd say this is going to change that 😇 We've shown how as a community we can take a huge negative and turn it around and start taking positive strides forward and that's incredible 🙌

I really appreciate all the love and messages from everyone today. I couldn’t think of anywhere I’d rather be than in surgery this evening to help a dog who needs a new hip, so that feels pretty great. But ultimately, all I need for my birthday is time with my boys 🎈x
