Yesterday my darling adored husband Tim Joss died in a cycling accident. He made me so very happy. He always said ‘am I alright for you’. He so was. We loved other deeply. Utterly bereft.

Not the Blackpool souvenir I’d planned. Slipped on a wet ramp & now I’m in A&E. Not sure if it’s badly sprained or twisted - it’s certainly out of kilter. So if you’re expecting me to visit over the next few weeks we’ll have to reschedule. And tomorrow I have to get home somehow.

The @RHSWisley Alpine Meadow looking dreamy! Doing no mow may (and June, July) since around 1860 and it is full of orchids and bulbs not to mention buttercups, clovers and yellow rattle. A mown strip around the edges really shows it off, making it look very intentional.

The Wisteria Walk’s magnificent purple cultivar ‘Kokuryu’ is now flowering after a much-anticipated wait. The white ‘Kimono’ cultivar is also starting to bloom, meaning that the two combined will provide a spectacular sight in the coming days. rhs.org.uk/gardens/wisley… #Wisteria
