This thread is for my mother. ❤️
My ma is a housewife by title, but a warrior by nature. The one who fed us, protected us, prayed for us, and never once asked for anything in return growing up.
My ma doesn’t wear a cape, but she is my superhero. She didn’t have an office, a paycheck, or awards on the wall. But she built our home with her love, filled our plates with care, and raised me with fire and gentleness in equal measure.
❤️🔥
She makes food like she is feeding an army - Hungry kids, tired guests, unannounced visitors—
No one ever leaves our family home unfed. Her hands have magic. Her food heals wounds I didn’t know I had.
🍛
Ma, defends us like a lioness.
If you think love is soft, you’ve never seen my mother fight for her children.
Ma, has the softest heart. She taught me to be kind. She showed me what empathy looks like in action— Checking in on neighbors, feeding strays, listening without judgment.
Even when we had little, she gave.
Even when she was tired, she smiled. Even when we didn’t say thank you, my Ma keeps going!
She carried our world quietly—never demanding credit, just giving more and more growing up.
🌍
When I doubted myself, my Ma is the first person that believed in me. When I was lost, she reminds me of who I am. She pushes me gently, loves me fiercely, and encourages me endlessly.
Every success of mine has her fingerprints all over it.
✨
“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.”
— Proverbs 31:2
She may not have heard this verse, but she lives it every day. 📖
“Mātṛdevo bhava” — “Let your mother be your God.”
This is not poetry. It is instruction.
And I understand it now more than ever. 🙏
Ma. I don’t say it enough—thank you. For your sacrifices. For your love. For the thousands of quiet acts that built my life. If I ever become half the human you are, I will have lived well.
I love you. Forever. See you later
