A bit of reality this morning in my office @TWSowl: My plants have been rescued for safe care during the break. I suspect @CEricBoneTWS is to thank. Yes, my office is known to be "where plants go to die." And yes, I forgot all about them in taking the week off.

Students @TWSowl have lost zero minutes of great instruction for test prep. They engage in the transfer of knowledge, understanding, & skills in authentic work 100% of the time. They will have nationally normed tests on their academic records, but not at the expense of learning.

Congratulations, @TWSowl...a recognition deserved for the high-quality, child-centered education it provides.

For the love of all that is good for learners, stop forcing teachers to write the standards for the day’s lesson on the board. Learning objectives are not the same as learning intentions built with students, with clarity, meaning, and an understanding of success criteria.
