During a dominant stretch for Arizona State University, Michael Haynes helped anchor one of the program’s most successful eras. Over four seasons, the Sun Devils went 40–8, capped by an unbeaten 1975 campaign and a No. 2 national ranking. A three-time all-conference selection and 1975 First-Team All-American, Haynes shut down the opposition’s top receivers and led the nation with 11 interceptions in 1974. He starred in two Fiesta Bowl victories and impacted the game as a returner, including a 97-yard kickoff return. Haynes went on to play 12 seasons in the NFL with the Patriots and Raiders, earning selection to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the league’s 75th Anniversary All-Pro Team. #BlackHistoryMonth #CFBHALL #ForksUp #CollegeFootball 🖤
