@BongBing80 @lagman_edcel Thats not hypocrisy. It means that there are other ways except divorce, that will mitigate the destruction of marriage. Divorce is destruction of marriage. Divorce is destruction of persons joined together.

@CFCEmmaus @lagman_edcel Church annulment is based on hypocrisy — even when the couple has been married for 2 decades with 5 children, the RCC will just say there was never a marriage bond to begin with! 😅

@BongBing80 @tellipotz_03 @lagman_edcel A legally binding marriage is not a mistake. Yes, people do make mistake, in the course in their marriage. Infidelity, violence, etc. but a concsious and deliberate marriage contracted & witnessed by the church and society, cannot be easily erased by divorce.

@tellipotz_03 @CFCEmmaus @lagman_edcel Don't expect people to be as *perfect* as you, Torquemada! In the real world, people sometimes commit mistakes. The law should address the real suffering of actual people, not sacrifice them over some abstract ideals espoused by religious groups!

@CFCEmmaus @lagman_edcel Kahit 20 years nang kasal at may limang anak, sa church annulment sasabihin na "void ab initio" yung marriage! Ahaha, what hypocrisy!

@BongBing80 @lagman_edcel Those celebrating 25, 50, 60, and even 70 years of marriage, does not deserve your comment on hypocrisy.

@CFCEmmaus @lagman_edcel This is an exercise in hypocrisy: Since "what God has joined together, let no man put asunder" — let's just pretend (and declare) that there was no marriage in the first place!

@BongBing80 @lagman_edcel Not all perhaps, but societal hinges by way of the health of the family. Instead of installing just the fire escape, why not build up the family and let society benefit. Keeping the family healthy and providing help even in crisis situations is much better, than destroying them.

@CFCEmmaus @lagman_edcel Fact: Not all marriages can be preserved. So even the Catholic church provides a way out through annulment. But this church annulment is based on the sleight of hand (skillful deception) that the marriage was "void ab initio" (there was never a marriage bond to begin with).

The Breaking News that the Philippines' Department of Justice (DOJ) just announced that the Philippine authorities would not prevent the INTERPOL implementation of arrest warrants versus former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and his co-accused in the ICC (International Criminal Court), which, if I am not mistaken, but I am hoping I am wrong, include the incumbent Vice President of the country Sara Duterte. If this is true and, this is A BLATANT DISREGARD for PHILIPPINE NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY AND INDEPENDENCE BY MARCOS JR’S REGIME. Let’s set the record straight. FIRST POINT. On 19 March 2018, the ICC was officially notified by the United Nations (UN) that the Republic of the Philippines had submitted a written notification of withdrawal from the Rome Statute, the Court’s founding treaty, on 17 March 2018. Withdrawing from the Rome Statute is a sovereign right of the Philippines. The withdrawal took effect on 17 March 2019. Hence, PH has no obligation to cooperate with the ICC because we’re no longer a member. Should the ICC prosecutor pursue a preliminary investigation or issue an arrest warrant against President Duterte, it would be considered INTERFERING with Philippine sovereignty. Let’s put the record straight. SECOND POINT. Interpol DOES NOT HAVE a police force to arrest individuals. Instead, it acts as an international organization that facilitates cooperation and information sharing between law enforcement agencies from its member countries. Yes, the Philippines is an Interpol member country. The Philippine National Police (PNP) serves as the National Central Bureau (NCB) for Interpol in the country. The NCB is responsible for coordinating international cooperation with other Interpol member countries and facilitating the exchange of information and assistance in criminal investigations with an international scope. Interpol facilitates International Cooperation. It assists police forces from different countries in working together to combat international crime. However, Interpol DOES NOT not have its own agents with the authority to make arrests. Note that the law enforcement agencies of Interpol's member countries carry out actions, including arrests, within their national laws and jurisdiction. The sources of directives of Interpol are as follows: (a)General Assembly and Executive Committee: Interpol's General Assembly, composed of representatives from all member countries, is the supreme governing body. It sets policies and directives; (b)National Central Bureaus (NCBs): Each member country has an NCB as the main contact point for Interpol-related matters and coordinates national responses to international requests. In essence, Interpol does not conduct arrests itself. Instead, it provides critical support to national police forces, enabling them to cooperate more effectively and ensuring the safety and security of our communities.

@EveKeneinan God in his goodness, out of love, would have created a perfect world. And he did just that, including man and woman. The moral agency of man and woman, brought the world in the state of sin, the separation from God. They deliberately chose to separate from God.

The argument from evil, again: 1 Although I am necessarily not in any position to judge this, nor could ever be, not being omniscient or morally perfect, I assert that the evil of the world makes the world in some abstract way morally unjustified or morally condemnable 2 God, when I reinterpret the traditional teaching of the goodness of God in such a way as to reduce God to a sort of creaturely moral agent, a god perhaps, would either be morally obligated not to create the world I just declared morally unjustified (without any justification of my own other than my feelings, but nevermind that) or else God, as reinterpreted by me, would be just too nice to create such a world that I condemn 3 Therefore, there is no God! (That is, there is no God of the sort that I have unjustifiably reinterpreted God to be like, since my reinterpreted God would definitely not create the world that I have unjustifiably interpreted as morally defective/unjustified/condemnable)

Religious rituals that Christians would call the work of a “demonic cult” if a different religion practiced them: —Eating & drinking the “flesh & blood of Christ” —Speaking in tongues —Faith-healers magically curing people What would you add to the list?

Why do theists think that the Big Bang Theory implies that "something came from NOTHING"? The singularity is theorized to have contained ALL the energy and spacetime of the Universe at infinite density, which would merely imply that "everything came from EVERYTHING".

In my college cultural anthropology class ages ago, my professor explained why every culture has superstitions meant to increase good luck: humans have a need to feel powerful in situations we feel powerless. That’s exactly why praying to deities became a thing.

@CFCEmmaus @GodlessLiz If by atheism, you mean putting down the fairytales & sacrifices to literally nothing, and focusing on what ACTUALLY formed the galaxy, or physics, biology, human physiology leading to advances in healthcare far beyond '4 humors'- I'd say atheism has indeed improved the human lot
