Our biggest issue was the lack of ball progression from the CCB position. It really affected our build up play and in turn, key attackers like Palmer barely had much to do with the ball. Badiashille gives you that.

Say what you will, but now would be a great time for Benoit Badiashille to stay fit and claim his spot in the CCB role with Colwill's absence if we won't be signing another defender. He'll ball.

Before rivals start running their mouths, I'd just like to point out that this Palace size beat City in a final as well as Liverpool in the community shield, and they could only get a draw against us on our bad day.

As much as Josh and Chalobah have been defensively solid, they haven't really been helpful in our build up play. There were multiple scenarios were Chalobah could have played Palmer on for instance, but he didn't. We're certainly lacking that natural CCB instinct.
