Xabi will provide a SERIOUS culture shift at the Club and that’s exactly what we need. No Europe isn’t ideal, but one game a week will provide some benefits, giving Xabi the opportunity to implement his footballing philosophy. We’ll have a proper go in the League and fight to break our Wembley curse (sigh).
He just needs to be backed by everyone involved with the Club, especially the hierarchy. I’m not sure what our financial situation looks like, but squad changes are needed. A lot, actually.

This is honestly insane. Really, really frustrating and makes you think about how some of the people who run this sport really feel about Chelsea. Luck goes a long way in football, but this is more than bad luck. Shocking.

Since January 2019 — Chelsea has featured in 7 domestic cup finals at Wembley. 7 losses 1 goal scored in 750 minutes of football + additional time The Chelsea curse at Wembley continues — so much so that you're almost starting to think it's not a curse — but rather a higher power not wanting Chelsea to win. In the League Cup final in 2019 — Hazard was through in the dying minutes of extra time and the ref blew the whistle for offside — wrongly. We went on to lose in a penalty shootout. In the FA Cup final in 2020 — Anthony Taylor decided to screw us over again — like he did in 2017. Kovacic was sent off for being stamped on by Xhaka. Emi Martinez handballed outside the box without being punished. Arsenal got a penalty for a foul outside the box. In the FA Cup final in 2021 — Ben Chilwell had an equalizer disallowed for a wrongly called offside. In the League Cup final in 2022 — Lukaku had a goal disallowed for offside — again wrong. We went on to lose another penalty shootout. In the FA Cup final in 2022 — we lost yet another penalty shootout. In the League Cup final in 2024 — we choked vs Liverpool's C team (thanks Poch). And today we have three 50/50 penalty decisions all given against us because Darren England is too much of a coward to make a tough decision. It's adding up to something that simply can't be excused away as "bad luck" anymore.

If somebody can explain to me how this isn’t a penalty, that would be great. Chelsea robbed in yet ANOTHER Cup Final and nobody will even bat an eye at this. Completely unacceptable.

With what we’ve seen from us over the last few months, a boring match like this probably suits us best, unfortunately. No, this isn’t fun, but we’re well in the game. Right now, and especially in a Cup Final, all that matters is the final result.
We need to show more believe on the ball in the second half, though. Find Enzo, Reece, Moi, and Cole. Do that, and chances will be created.

We’ll definitely see Neto at some point today, especially with how the games going. We need some sort of pace over top and he provides that. I don’t think we’ll sit back like this all game. My gut tells me we’re trying to stay in it and then go for it at some point in the second half.
Show more belief on the ball and we’ll go from there.

Honestly, that lineup is the best we can produce right now. No misses from McFarlane.
We better see some fight AND hunger from the guys. If Manchester City play with more desire than us, then some of these players aren’t cut out for Chelsea. Read the room. You can salvage *some* of the season with a win here, especially with an opportunity to create some SERIOUS momentum heading into the Alonso era.
