We are incredibly proud to support this project through a 2022 NE MI Women's Giving Circle (WGC) grant where the Alpena County Public Library offers personal hygiene items for patrons in need. This cabinet provides free and discreet access to personal care and hygiene items.

This newly reconstructed bridge at the awesome Herman Vogler Conservation Area was made possible through a CFNEM grant to Presque Isle Conservation District. Take a hike this weekend!

Congrats to Tom Stoppa on his retirement from Alpena Public Schools and as an advisor for our Northeast Michigan Youth Advisory Council (NEMYAC)! Tom holds a record as the longest-serving YAC Advisor for the Community Foundation, working with our YAC in Alpena for 25 years!

Our Iosco County Community Foundation affiliate recently awarded a $200,000 grant to Ascension St. Joseph Foundation in Tawas City to support three capital projects. The grant comes from the Mary Jane Chevis Endowment Fund. bit.ly/3OWeLnx

Be careful out there, no open burning of yard debris and always have water on hand if you have a camp/cooking fire. Drench, stir, and drench it again when done.

Two grants supporting Cheboygan County residents were awarded by our Straits Area CF Youth Advisory Council (YAC). These grants will provide clothing for adult education students in need and an artist-in-residence program for Cheboygan Area Schools. bit.ly/3JTXvwQ.

A new nonprofit childcare center has opened in Hubbard Lake, and CFNEM is proud to support it through our Community Impact, Women’s Giving Circle, and Youth Advisory Council. Lack of daycare is a challenge in northeast Michigan, and this new center is a step in a good direction.
