Yesterday, the CFSRE staff celebrated our President, Dr. Barry Logan, for being presented The American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) Distinguished Fellow Award.

Today, staff had the opportunity to attend a presentation by visiting scientist Alexandre Barcia Godoi, MSc. Currently a PhD candidate at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas in São Paulo, Brazil, he has been conducting research at CFSRE over the past several months.

While working from home due to the snowstorm, Bunny (the cat) supervised our Forensic Toxicologist, Brianna Stang as she analyzed cases and updated the QTOF library with more compounds.

Our Director of Toxicology & Chemistry, Alex Krotulski, presented "Nitazine Analogs Placed Under Generic Control in China: Understanding the Framework and Preparing for the Next Novel Synthetic Opioid Wave" on the final day of AAFS!

CFSRE's Forensic Toxicologist, Sara Walton, presented at AAFS Annual Conference on "Pharmacodynamic Effects and Plasma Pharmacokinetics of N,N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) After Intranasal Versus Subcutaneous Administration in Male Rats" last week.
