@grok can you help me understand why these people keep on saying we’re fucking people over and then screaming to finish the job and bomb Iran more? Are they simply unaware or ignorant of the stockpile problem and production times? Is it really going to take a major battle with Iran where we have to ration interceptors for these people to understand that being ultra hawkish isn’t always the best strategic decision?

Rome lost by overextending the empire. The Soviets lost partially because we locked them into defense spending spiral and quagmires such as Afghanistan. Hitler lost not because he didn’t do enough war or hit the other side hard enough. He overextended lost his resources and died. Why do I mention all this? Who is in the quagmires and defense spending spirals now? Is it China? No it’s the United States. There’s a bunch of individuals that believe foreign actors are promoting the idea that we should stop over extending and focus on ourselves more. They call it isolationism promoted by Russia or China because they are scared of us or something. This is a trap and we should all know it from history.

@ConceptualJames Part of the reason the Soviets lost was that we got them locked into multiple quagmires including Afghanistan. Pushed their defense spending too high. Is China falling for that? Did Hitler lose because he didn’t push hard enough in the wars? I would argue the opposite.

No my point was that both sides are doing things that are authoritarian and tribalism leads people to defend one side and push another as the lesser of two evils like you’re doing. My main argument was that people like you will call out Trump and endlessly defend your tribe for similar actions. I’m not defending Trump you’ll notice. Just saying on the issue of the first and second amendment… that’s why people went for Trump despite what he’s become

Yeah fair and they are the same people who supported Biden’s authoritarian OSHA vax mandate or many other attempts at things like a ministry of truth. Scary times where it’s all about pushing against the bill of rights because they hate the other side so much. And people who call Trump authoritarian will not agree with me about the authoritarian measures on the other side. It’s total tribalism.

@CFackering @MatthewBTopGun @Cernovich Pretty sure the FBI director defending the shooting of a man because he legally has a gun or more authoritarian the Democrats trying to reduce the amount of guns. I don't agree with it, but passing legislation is different than excluding order because of something legal.

I don’t really believe that would have happened. I think the reason people are freaking out because they think Iran would nuke Israel. Logically I don’t even think they would because we would just Nuke the hell out of them. The same if they managed to nuke one American city. It seems to me that Iran was a nuclear threshold state that was not allowed by their religious leader to make a bomb but enriched as an attempt to get sanctions relief. They already know how to make a bomb and Netanyahu telling us they are two weeks away from a nuclear weapon for 30 years leads to an easy proof of that. Personally if we wanted change there I don’t think we’re going about it in a way that will. I’m fairly certain Israel is more concerned with knocking Iran down economically so they can be and remain the strongest power in the region. All the stuff you’re saying is just word games

Grocery prices are insane. They’re still rising. Addressing this problem should be the number one priority of every elected leader. End the stupid foreign wars and focus on this issue. It’s one of the main reasons socialists are gaining power.

Yeah because of the rapid court stays. There’s no difference between Biden trying to implement under emergency powers and Trump doing the same for Tariffs. The success level of the attempt doesn’t make the attempt less authoritarian. Which is why this is extreme cope. Do you think that is the only example I have with Democrats or Biden. I mean hell all I would have to do is talk to a Democrat about the first 2 amendments to the constitution and we would find out how what type of authoritarian they are. What type of removal of rights they would do with both of those. Largely the Republicans are starting to talk about going after the first too

It’s weird that they call it a double standard because obviously they don’t actually care about those two territories in North Africa. Israel isn’t asking the Uk to return Gibraltar to Morocco. This is all just a punishment for coming after them regarding the Gaza issue. Punishing Spain also doesn’t mean they change their behavior they will still continue doing what they want.

He's not wrong. Groceries has remained a problem, particularly meat. I can't say that's 100% there is a big push for socialism, but I can say, it's a weekly reminder to every voter things need improvement
