📣| Week 19, 2026 Community Update Happy Soundpass Day! Hope you guys are enjoying the new season. The team put a lot more efforts into making new frames and themes for a more unique look. Please keep giving us feedback and let us know what you’d like to see going forward! Onto this week’s recap: • First of all, our apologies for the server issues last Monday and Wednesday. Google did an automatic maintenance for our backend and updated a few packages, which in turn messed up some settings that we’ve been working on. It’s largely back to normal now and we are monitoring the situation. There might be a few more maintenance windows that we need to run and we’ll let the community know beforehand. Sorry again for last week’s issues 🙏 • v2.12.0 is out now on iOS and Android. Please update the app and get on the latest! • We are pushing ahead with more events and fixes. The ultimate goal is to have some sort of events active at all times, so you’ll always have new content to enjoy. • There are a few other bugs that we need to squash. @JeffPassan I'd love to see Seattle go trade Cleveland for Steven Kwan and Bo Naylor. Randy's in his walk year and I think Kwan would fit this team real well.

@soundmap_app Legit question- are there any plans for stabilizing this game any time soon? My game crashes at least 97 times while trying to clear my cool down. Or send a trade offer. Or access someone's page.

My initial reaction from a Rockets perspective is... meh. The Rockets own Brooklyn's pick (via swap) and Phoenix's pick next year. - Depending on free agency results, Brooklyn will likely be bad next year. There's no incentive for them to avoid the bottom three. - If Brooklyn wins the #1 pick this year, are they ineligible for it next year, punishing Houston? Hopefully these scenarios are considered. - The fact that the worst team in the league could end up with the 12th pick stings. - This does likely boost the value of the Phoenix pick. Suns were pretty good this year but West is going to be more competitive next year. Very possible that this pick boosts Houston's overall lottery odds. - The new lottery rules run through the 2029 Draft, where the Rockets also own the best two picks of Phoenix, Dallas and Houston. So the new rules are in place for all of Houston's extra draft capital. - The "mediocrity treadmill", which was always the worst place to be in the NBA, just got incentivized. Seeds 9 and 10 get the best of both worlds.

This week’s update is short and sweet: • We finished the first leg of database clean up and we are super glad that the app has been stable over last week, especially during the 2x XP event and rate boost event. We are now making more optimization to make the backend more efficient 🙏 • v2.10.10 is out on both iOS and Android. The main fix in this version is app getting stuck after long period of inactivity or coming back from background activity. The first drop when you reopen the app should be smoother now. It also has a few other fixes. • The anniversary streak gift is in motion now. It’s definitely our favorite one so far, reserved just for the special ones hitting 365 days or more • Working on the main event in May. 📣 Weekly Community Update: Week 15, 2026 Hope you guys enjoyed Coachella this weekend!! Here’s what we have in store for you this week: 🎡The 2026 Coachella event is launching soon! Still working on it and it’ll be ready later this week or early next. Get ready for a wild trip 👀 • We initially adjusted the Radiant quest difficulty last week by halving it for uncommon / rare radiant quest. However, there are deeper changes we need to make before bringing the difficulty down. Once we are done with the Coachella event, lowering Radiant quest difficulty will be a top priority. • We are still working on backend optimization. There are significantly more data that we need to clean up and it’s taking a lot longer than expected. We learned a hard lesson last Monday and since then, we’ve contained our backend optimization effort to low traffic time (2am EST to 8am EST). We will not be working on backend issues during the peak hours. After the database clean up, we will continue with more architecture optimization for faster response times. • For rate boost events and double XP events, we’ll wait until the initial wave of data clean up is finished. In the meantime, we’ll keep running global challenges and epic hunts. • There’s no plan to work on a power up inventory system yet, but it is in the backlog and we’ll get to it when it’s possible in the future! @soundmap_app When will quest finally be fixed, though? They are a messsss even after the update. They have gone from a key part of the game to essentially an afterthought that you can only do if you have the patience of a saint.

📣| Hope you guys are enjoying the Easter event! Sorry for the delay as we had some last minute changes for the event last week. A huge part of our work this month will be focusing on getting these events out on time!!! • The special Easter profile theme this time is different from everything in the past. Please let us know if you have any feedback or ideas for more interesting themes! • Working on more UI/UX issues that stemmed from the react native upgrade. Hoping to release an update soon! • The canvas issue is now fixed and we are monitoring our solution. Might not be fully stable yet but we are on it! • Working on more events for April + May and as mentioned, we are hoping to stay on track this time and get all of them out on time! • We are still improving our backend + database. @soundmap_app Please fix quests. They’re entirely broken and unplayable right now.

📣| Hope you guys are enjoying the St. Patricks Day event! We have more variations of it coming up soon and please let us know of your feedback 🙏 Here’s what we are working on this week: • v2.10 is out! This one fixes the issue where the keyboard would close if you get a new push notification offer while typing. It also includes a few other behind-the-scene fixes. • Yesterday we had more server issues 🥲. The events were drawing in unexpected high volumes. We are shipping one database fix tomorrow and one more later this week. For now, we’ll only run events during the week so the whole team can be on standby and observe. Once both fixes are out, we’ll run another rate boost event soon! • We are also working on push notification system as it seems to overpower the database with some notif-related queries. We just pushed an initial fix this morning. • On the frontend, we are looking into app being laggy after inactivity, super trade boost trade offer duration, canvas syncing failure, and a few other fixes. Hopefully v2.10.1 by next Monday! • We are planning ahead on future events so we can launch them even earlier. Please let us know your feedback on this one so we can adjust as we go.
