Again well said. Ive built stuff for friends and ive had friends bail on me and also come back. Ultimately i want to see them successful no matter if they use my stuff or not. And we remained friends in between as well. I think a good manufacturer or person should act the same. Saving a few hundred bucks sometimes isn’t worth it. And a company that frowns on u for trying something different probably wasn’t truly on board with u anyway 💯

Obviously crashed cars are my lane of travel but it also seems to me that concussions and back injuries are happening more often. Hell i can think of 4 major leg injuries this summer and thats historically unheard of It seems concussions got popular when containment seats came out then eventually calmed down. Maybe due to better foam techniques 🤷🏻‍♂️ Back injuries also seem to be gaining popularity in the last few years. In my head a flimsier seat might be better to let the body move and distort alittle as opposed to holding the body straight up and down forcing the energy to travel straight up and down the spine/back Is the roll cage so stiff now that we force the energy thru the driver. I know prior to the safety bars and halos i only threw away 2 frames over the years that we could not fix. Just this year alone we’ve thrown 9 frames away Like i said body injuries are definitely not my lane but it would be interesting to hear thoughts or ideas from people in the safety industry that are smart or can shed light on the subject of whats better/worse and why

@ripjetson9 Absolutely, I had a situation with helmets, Steve Thomas helped me out and got me On bell. I noticed after having a couple minor wrecks my head was messed up. I switched back to Simpson and never had any more head issues.

@ripjetson9 I think to many people are afraid to upset manufactures they get help from or lose their 10% off deal they have for speaking out. I was a working guy that raced on weekends being able to work on Monday was what made me try different things even if it meant losing a deal I had.

@CGardner46 @D1ckN1xon @FASTseries “I didn’t bring enough checks to pay everyone tonight” Speedweek. Correct that statement Aaron made, at least half the pits heard it. Now correct this statement while you’re at it. Every podium car was scaled at every race during speedweek.

@2TimeStreetStok @D1ckN1xon @FASTseries Enough drivers and teams have expressed their want for scaling and more tech so @FASTseries has hired a tech director and will be posting rules in the next week which will include minimum weight that will be checked every single night throughout the entire year.

@2TimeStreetStok @D1ckN1xon @FASTseries As far as scales you are correct no one got weighed any night of Speedweek as stated in the drivers meeting every night that there would be no scaling.

@2TimeStreetStok @D1ckN1xon @FASTseries For those that waited everyone got paid at the end of the event at atomic. Some people left races without being paid and all those people had checks mailed out by Wednesday the following week.

@2TimeStreetStok @D1ckN1xon @FASTseries I was in every drivers meeting and I do not recall that statement. I do know it was stated you could get paid every night or wait until final night if you ran the whole week so he only had to write one check. Everyone that came to the table after any race was paid that night.

@D1ckN1xon @FASTseries @2TimeStreetStok Since you two are hiding behind fake names we can’t tell who is saying they didn’t get a check on “time” last I knew Aaron paid out checks or cash at the end of each completed night before leaving the track. Would you mind sharing who and when they didn’t get a check on time?

Next up on the surgery table is a rear cage hit Imagine if this car had cage support gussets in it. How much harder of a hit would it have been to the driver, to the drivers brain hitting the inside of their skull??? @USACNation @Xtreme_Outlaw @POWRi_Racing The rear of this cage collapsed 5” during the crash. That is 5” of deceleration Not only would the cage gussets remove that deceleration period, it would also transfer the energy to rear cage upright and who knows what happens after that in this instance Again, im posting this because i see things that most people never do

Sounds like good news coming soon out of Ohio for the future of Speedweek. Lots of cooperation between tracks, streaming, and series. June 7th - 15th Attica, Fremont, Waynesfield, Wayne County, Hilltop, Sharon, Muskingum County, Atomic. Half the week on Flo, half on DV.
