@OhTheSunnySide Tbh I think everything said was fair enough, to each their own. Though I myself wouldn't make an established character black to better fit me just cause I dunno about the implication that changing a character's race somehow improves it. Not saying that's what you meant of course

@OhTheSunnySide @AshNicholsArt Sure we went to Black Panther cause we wanted a Black Supperhero, but we *stayed* cause of the cool way they showed African Culture being integrated into this high-tech society And, Encanto was so cool cause despite it being mixed, every race in the village acted the same

@OhTheSunnySide @AshNicholsArt I agree with the sentiment on paper but I gotta disagree somewhat I like seeing minorities represented too, but it'd be better to 1) make *new* black characters (as you said) INSTEAD of changing old ones, and 2) focus on *Culture* instead of needing color to feel more comfy.

Ive seen alot of people make the claim that drawing a white character black is just as racist as making them white--so Im here to explain why this is dead wrong for you!! A thread (1/8)
