@BBCr4today @BBCSimonJack And how was this immense sacrifice rewarded ? The staff were forced to fight for a fair & reasonable wage. The mandatory requirement to support staff was quietly removed. All of the psychological support firmly chipped and removed.

"We only coped... because of the extraordinary efforts of our front-line teams." Dr Kevin Fong, former NHS England national clinical advisor, speaks to @BBCSimonJack about the need to invest in front-line workers following the Covid Inquiry.

@bentravisceo my dad was admitted to QEH woolwich with a broken back. He now has wet gangrene due to medical / nursing systemic failure. This isn't the first time either. This is appalling. He will die from this #NHS #corridorcare #healthcare

Last week I spoke to BBC News’ Maryam Moshiri about why I firmly believe NHS staff have a moral obligation to strike. #DoctorsStrike #SOSNHS

'They're heroes for working on Christmas? What a load of rubbish!' Caller Nick thinks we should take 'NHS workers off pedestals', much to the shock of @henryriley1 and the dismay of other listeners.

Spent the last 16 hours in a&e at QEH with my frail elderly dad. The staff here are doing an impossible job. You can see what 14 years of cuts have done. Corridor “care” and the fact that there are no beds. @bentravisceo your staff are amazing but this situation is dire.

@CGoodwinFee @Xeon4f145d96s1 @wesstreeting Suicide rates are higher amongst doctors across the west, including in the UK (though female doctors only), US and Canada. It’s not a reflection of the UK system or anything Wes Streeting can fix.

This is devastating news. I sadly suspect this will become more commonplace too. Fix this @wesstreeting. From this year. This cycle.

It's okay to not be okay, BUT we need to know that the help is there when we need it; it's wrong to leave people admitting there is a need but then feeling stranded without support. The theme of this #WorldMentalHealthDay is workplace mental health, and, after helping over a million workers - it's something we know a fair bit about. Awareness is key, but it's not enough. We need more funding, the drive to eradicate stigma, more trained professionals, and faster access to care. Mental health services are overwhelmed — real change comes when resources match the growing demand. Let’s push for action, not just conversation.

@carolvorders Yes. Leave it outside your bedroom & grab an old style alarm clock. The blue light from the screen & the content of what you look at stimulates your brain and wakes you up. Remove the temptation 😊

I've got into a bad habit of switching my phone off but leaving it by my bed and then if I wake up in the middle of the night switching it on again...to catch up on stuff.. Going to try leaving it downstairs to charge overnight Has this worked for you? All tips welcome
