The sin of the Chinese lies in their disbelief in God. The Chinese have always believed they can conquer nature, yet from the earliest recorded history to the present day, any natural or man-made disaster can plunge them into immense suffering. This is not a testament to strong faith; it is overestimation of their own capabilities. People in other countries also face natural destruction, but they do not perceive humanity as superior, nor do they arrogantly believe that "man can conquer nature."

While some in the West pity the Chinese for not sharing their God, they often overlook how we actually see the world. While different religions live side by side peacefully in China, we’ve carried one deeper faith in our bones for thousands of years — long before Jesus was even born: Humans can conquer nature. Our fate is in our own hands. This belief isn’t abstract philosophy. It’s written into our oldest stories. Here are three ancient Chinese myths that prove it: 🌊 The Great Flood of Gun & Yu Imagine a flood so devastating it lasted for generations — entire civilizations drowning, people scattered. Around 2200 BCE, the emperor tasked a father and son, Gun and Yu, with saving the realm. Gun tried building massive dikes to hold the water back. Yu took a bolder path: he chose to channel it, redirect rivers, and drain the floodwaters. They faced not just nature’s fury, but mythical beasts. A dragon carved canals with its body. A giant tortoise hauled away mountains of mud. Yu became a legend for his obsession. The saying “passed his home three times without entering” (三过家门而不入) still lives today — he was so focused on the mission that he walked right past his own door without stopping, even when his wife gave birth. They didn’t pray for divine mercy. They fought the heavens themselves — and won. 🌞 Hou Yi Shoots the Ten Suns One day, all ten suns rose at once and scorched the earth. Rivers boiled. Crops burned. Humanity faced extinction. The hero Hou Yi stood before the heavens. He warned the suns. He pleaded with them. When they refused to listen, he picked up his bow and shot nine of them down. Each sun fell and turned into a three-legged raven. Only one was spared after the Sun’s mother and Emperor Yao begged for mercy — so that life could continue. Think about that: a human being literally negotiating with the gods by force, telling the very source of light in the sky, “You will not destroy us.” ⛰️ The Foolish Old Man Moves the Mountains An old man of 90 lived at the foot of two giant mountains that blocked his path. Everyone called him foolish when he declared he would dig them away with nothing but hoes and baskets. His neighbors laughed: “You’ll never finish this in your lifetime!” The old man replied calmly: “I may die, but my children will continue. When they die, their children will continue. Generation after generation, without end. The mountains won’t grow any taller — but our effort never stops. Why can’t we flatten them?” The gods in heaven, moved by such stubborn willpower, eventually sent spirits to move the mountains for him. These aren’t just fairy tales. They are the soul of Chinese civilization. We respect the gods in our traditions. But we have never believed our destiny is written by them. We believe it is taken — through intelligence, perseverance, and collective effort across generations. That is our faith. And it has carried us for 5,000 years.

China's enemies: 🔹USA: The boss past its prime. 🔹India: The retard. 🔹Japan: Idiots inside their own information cocoon, unaware of their own demise. 🔹The Philippines: Perpetual slum dwellers. With a lineup like that, there is really nothing to fear. Which is why I always find it odd, that some anti-China shills keep claiming China has too many enemies. Some may say what about countries like Australia or Czechia or Lithuania? The problem with those countries, is that they are too far away with zero ability to affect our geopolitical goals (for now). Even Australia is too far away to be an effective forward operation base like the Philippines is. Economically and industrially, our enemy nations couldn't even handle Huawei, let alone the entire might of the Chinese industry. Our goal in this regard is self-cultivation and development. Other countries are non-factors. So, our challenge is almost exclusively military/geo-security. In this field, our only competitor is the US, the rest are rounding errors, a convenience of geography for the US, and just a handful more targets for China.

That's the the biggest misconception about China. The law IS NOT strict. In fact Chinese judicial system is very Confucian (something I dislike) It takes into account of humanitarian factors. Like the fact that her son is also a victim of this crime, growing up without a mother. Chinese sentencing does not allow the judge to add years of incarceration indefinitely. In fact, Chinese courts cannot hand down fixed-term sentencings beyond 15 years. Multiple crimes can add up, if more than 35 years, then maximum time served is 25. If less than 35 years, then the max time served is 20 years. In China you cannot have a 40, 50, 60, 100 year sentencing. Life imprisonment, unless specified can be reduced to 20 year sentencing, if the prisoner shows remorse and rehabilitation. So in China, unless you get the death penalty, the most term you can serve incarcerated is 25 years.

Context, this film was pulled from screening after massive societal backlash in China. BECAUSE it starred a murderer, yes a real murderer re-dramatizing, falsely may I add, the murder of her husband. Zhao Xiaohong, the actual actor in the film, was convicted of intentional injury resulting in death, after stabbing her husband to death during an argument about bed placement. The court gave her 15 years and did not find any evidence of domestic violence, as she herself claimed to be the victim of. The couple's flat mates, family members from BOTH SIDES, testified that they have never seen or heard any domestic violence committed by her husband. But the film twisted the court's finding, and turned it into a feminist film, about "female empowerment", fighting the "male dominated" justice system and family structure. This disgusting piece of western liberal propaganda upends all societal and moral norms. The film is universally hated in China, the mere idea of it is offensive, how can a murderer profit from her own crime? Western propaganda do not see the Chinese people as individual human beings with their own agency. Then we Chinese disagree with western "values", it is labeled nationalistic.
