@lindseypsmith Um yeah… I tried to tell my chair this morning that it felt like March 2020 all over again except that we aren’t all in the same boat. He tried point out all the good things we have like vaccines. I’m like - yeah but my kid can’t get vaccinated yet.

I know I'm not alone, but it increasingly feels like working parents of kids <5y are living in a totally separate reality from everyone else.

Serious question...how do you set healthy boundaries with your grad students? I must admit, I haven't been the best at establishing boundaries since becoming faculty.
